Social engagement at an amazing level!

The toughest part of nontraditional education is the aspect of loneliness and/or isolation. Social engagement is the foundation of social relationships by providing a sense of belonging, social identity, and life fulfillment.

Research demonstrates that regular social engagement was associated with positive health behaviors among teens.

Our Social Academy provides numerous activities, classes, trips, and clubs to students in all non-traditional educational programs. Social Academy is a membership program that runs from August-May of each year. Social Academy is on break for Summer Camps in June and July.

*Some Social Academy events require full uniform dress which includes a plaid skirt, button down, and blazer for girls and slacks, button down, and blazer for boys.

*Some Social Academy events will have additional costs and fees. For example, field trips with transportation provided, location entry fees, movie tickets, and museum fees.

TP USA Club

Official TP USA Chapter for High school students interested in conservative collaboration. Clubs are student-led and available for full-time students, part-time students, and Social Academy club members.

Assemblies

Subject experts come to present topics of interest to students for enhanced learning and in-person social engagement. Assemblies include presentations, documentaries, speakers, and films of educational importance. Assembly attendance is available for full-time students, part-time students, and Social Academy members.

Speech and Debate Club

For students that want to improve their speech or debate skills, we meet as a club. And, if we gain enough members, we will join competitions through NCFCA. Speech and Debate Club is a student-run club available for full-time students, part-time students, and Social Academy club members.

Fitness Classes

On-site nutrition, yoga, conditioning, and general health classes are offered Weekly throughout the year. Fitness classes are available for full-time students, part-time students, and Social Academy members.

The Study Hall

Come hang out and do some academic work, play study games, study alone in a different space, or get some tutoring. You can't be the $15/hr rate for staying as long or as little as you need to master that next assignment.

Field Trips

FINALLY! We schedule all kinds of cool field trips from the Zoo to Nasher to DMA to Perot Museum to the Aquarium. As a school planned group with at least 20 kids in attendance, we get school rates and each will have an academic component. Upper school and middle school students only.
